The Wolves and the Sheep Become One and the Same.
The rain is slashing the windows, lightning flashing, and the sky is a deep gray-green, giving the appearance of a wet sunset at 10:00 in the morning—a perfect morning for the thoughts rumbling through my mind this day.
As one of the baby boomers born into a post-war alcoholic, hedonistic, and irreligious family, I was left alone to search out life. I mention this often when I write about myself.
Raised without a father (who died when I was very young), I pirouetted through life trying not to touch anyone. Learning not to trust anyone.
To me, everyone is enigmatic and held at a distance. In fact, someone once said that the world is a stage and we are its actors, all of us carrying a façade that hides our true self.
Having a tormented mind and spirit as a result of that youthful conditioning left me with a brain full of wanton desires and sexual compulsions.
Those desires and compulsions stem from exposure to pornography and the coital activities of my parents for the first four or five years of life.
Subsequently, the desires and compulsions resulted in numerous encounters with adults which, by today’s standards, are considered molestations.
However, the circumstances make it difficult for me to associate “molestation” with a willing participant.
The Guilt and The Awakening
Consequently, I am also a very spiritual person who spent most of my adult life seeking answers to those questions that plague people with ‘external influences’ that result when the conflict between soul and spirit pervades; when guilt and self-loathing become the principal derivative of the internal conflict.
Having a biblical perspective of our Creator, and a knowledge of the history of Christianity without denominational influence or preconceived notions, it has taken decades to realize (understand, recognize) the fallacy of religion; all religion.
Yes, there is A GOD. Yes, there is A TRUTH.
Still, from all that I’ve observed, studied, and heard, there is nobody anywhere on this planet, myself included, who recognizes or acknowledges either of them.
A person does not learn to identify counterfeit money by learning what every counterfeit bill looks like. They are, instead, trained to fully recognize what the actual (true) bill looks like.
So, when it comes to religion, the rule raises an issue because humanity has nothing to which it can compare its beliefs and practices —because our Creator never established a RELIGION.
Religion is a construct of humanity. (Isaiah 44:14–17)
Or, if you wish, there is this information given by the apostle Paul to the early disciples of Christ:
“3 And even if our gospel (truth) is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. 4 The god of this age (Satan) has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” (2 Corinthians 4:3,4)
The reality is, humanity gave up its need for GOD…replacing GOD with religion to which it turns when the governments and authorities fail to care for it. (1 Samuel 8:4-7)
Saluting its flags, bowing and praying to its idols, turning to the same religious vipers that Christ condemned when he was on Earth, all of whom support the governments of Satan’s world.
All religions warn of “wolves in sheep’s clothing,” all the while — having become the very same wolves they claim to expose.
Humanity has long failed to recognize that it’s NOT the religion to which you belong, or the country in which one lives, that will bring about truth and honest living and peace — it is THE PERSONS WE ARE that matter.
The birth of “The church of Rome,” formed under the authority of the same Roman imperial system that had earlier condemned Christ and later persecuted and murdered his apostles, became the first modern man-made religious institution.
Since its inception, it expanded and morphed into an estimated 44,000 denominations, sects, and schisms, all of which claim to be Christian.
As a result, they portray themselves as “…having a form of godly devotion, but proving false to its power.” (2 Timothy 3:1-5)
We must face the fact that “Christianity” as we know it is an institution, not a religion. If the people who “claim to be” were truly Christian (Christ-like), the world would be a paradise of peace and love.
As sad as it may be: humanity has abandoned faith in the unseen, and given it to the corrupted world of wolves that look like sheep.
Refusing to admit it does not change the fact that the real TRUTH is that there is NO TRUTH among us.
